Welcome to PHPWomen. We are in the process of setting up the site so give us a little bit of time. Meanwhile please feel free to join us on the forums.
This is fantastic to see! I’m glad PHP Women are gathering together–I’ve long felt women were under-represented in the PHP world. Good luck to all of you!
It’s Great,
I’m a php programmer too , I’ll be so happy if I can do any thing for this blog:)
and also I should say that my blog is totally written with php and ajax
Keep up with the good job
Thanks for putting this project together. I hope that some of the focus is on helping men be less sexist. The dev world is so male-dominated that sometimes, I’ll do things that make women feel unwelcome, and not realize it until later. Then, I don’t know how to apologize for it because the damage is done.
johnk – tell her you are sorry in the same kind of forum as the one where you may have embarrassed her or made her feel unwelcome – that is the best advice I have to give. This way the people who may have seen you “goof” in the first place, see you correcting yourself. This isn’t for your humility but for her respect of and by her peers.
Then try to do better and simply try to be more aware. that is all we all can do.
